Birch Haven!

Positive: A comfortable and spacious place to stay. About a 15 minute walk to the center of Anchorage. Negative: Could be a tricky place if you can’t do steps easily; stairs to get to the unit, and the hallway within the unit has a couple of steps in it.

Positive: Great location and the hosts were easy to work with. Using the door code was great by avoiding handling keys.

Honest review of a sweet spot to rest Positive: It was a cozy and yet still spacious condo. The living room furniture and kitchen table and chairs were comfortable , which was great as we were using this place to stay due to needing a place to rest after a doctor visit before driving back to Fairbanks . The kitchen was wonderful! It was great having a good coffee maker and all needed to cook and prepare our meals. Plenty of room for our food and prep space! The bedrooms were large and clean, and had tvs in each one as well. The bathroom was sufficient and clean. The grounds were well taken care of. Very pretty, well maintained and restful looking property. Negative: It was a warmer two days while we were there so needed to have the windows open, but a few of the windows screens were missing, so bees were coming in. We had to close them as the bees or maybe they were wasps, kept coming in. We tried turning on the air since it seemed that there was the ability to do that...but the air that came in was weak and didn't cool down the condo. The large triangle window lets in lots of sunlight, but the blinds don't work quite right in order to close it sufficiently to keep the space from heating up due to that. It ended up being so hot inside that we all had a harder time sleeping well, so opened the windows back up in the middle of the night as I believed the bees were perhaps not as active at that time of night. The larger bedroom was clean and nice, but the bed itself was uncomfortable. The bed didn't seem to fit the bedframe correctly being a bit small for it, and the frame moved a lot just getting out of the bed and back into it, so when my husband got up and came back to bed it would creak and move and the mattress would sink quite a bit on his side so I was kind of falling into him. He is tall, but not overweight, and we don't have those issues in our own bed or beds at the hotels we've stayed in, so it seemed to be contributed to the mattress and the bedframe combination. The room was clean and so nice and big though that we were able to put the mattress on the floor in front of the bedframe and sleep.better that way.

It was perfect. Positive: The cleanliness and layout. Great location to the downtown without being in heart of downtown. Negative: I wish we knew to bring eye sleep masks due to Summer light.

Perfect Positive: We had a great stay in Anchorage, the property was spacious and comfortable, the host was very helpful and made our stay perfect.
